The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre coordinates Nordplus intensive programme (IP) Music Laboratory the PROCESS which will take place in Vilnius from 16 to 29 of April, 2012.
Project partners – 11 higher music education institutions from all Nordic and Baltic countries: Royal Danish Academy of Music (Denmark), Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (Estonia), Sibelius Academy (Finland), School of Music of Tampere University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Iceland Academy of the Arts, Department of Music (Iceland), Latvian Academy of Music (Latvia), Norwegian Academy of Music (Norway), Academy of Music and Drama, Gothenburg University (Sweden), Institute of Music and Media of the Lulea University of Technology (Sweden), Malmö Academy of Music (Sweden), Royal College of Music in Stockholm (Sweden).
Project aimed at strengthening Nordic-Baltic development and cultural cooperation by training students of composition in multinational environment, promoting the creative collaboration between young composers and musicians, and by presenting their musical works to the wider audience in Nordic and Baltic countries.
The first project week includes open lectures, individual tutorials by international team of composition professors from Nordic and Baltic countries and individual creative processes by students. The second week will focus on the practical workshops with musicians – percussion ensemble Evolution (Sweden) and string quartet ReDo (Latvia), and includes rehearsals, concerts and CD recordings, and also few lectures as well as individual tutorials.
