Lietuvos muzikologija (Musicology of Lithuania) It is a periodical scientific humanitarian magazine of Music History and Theory (Musicology) published by the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA). It has been published since 2000, once per year (25–26 printer’s sheets). Articles are in Lithuanian, English, French, German, Russian languages, summaries are given in the English language. Compiler Prof. Habil. Dr. (hp) Gražina Daunoravičienė (Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Humanities, Art History and Theory) Requirements for Articles - Scientific articles of such or analogical structure are admitted: introduction, the aim, object, methods of research, results achieved, conclusions or summing-up, references or notes.
- Before the main text there go an annotation including: the object, aim and methods of research, results of research and keywords. The annotation is published in Lithuanian and English languages.
- At the end of the article references and notes are given. The references are succeeded by the summary. If the article is written in Lithuanian, the summary is in the English language; the summary of the article in a foreign language is written in the Lithuanian language. The summary is about 2000 characters in amount.
- Photos, diagrams, schemes, tables and other illustrations of the article must be white and black, good quality, clear and suitable for reproduction. Music notes must be prepared by the computer.
- Articles can be written in Lithuanian and in the main foreign languages. The amount of the article is not larger than one printer’s sheet. The possibility of a larger article is discussed with the editor-in-chief.
- On the separate page a short CV is given by the author of the article, mentioning the scientific degree and name, the main works and interests, workplace, duties and address.
- The article is submitted to the editorial office, printed on A4 format white piece of paper (1 copy) as well as a computer medium with the article is provided.
Reviewing Order - The submitted article is reviewed by two scientists appointed by the editorial board. The article is published considering the letters of reference of these reviewers.
- If the topics of the article are interdisciplinary, a review and a letter of reference by a scientist of the adjacent scientific field are necessary.
- Foreign articles can have reviews and letters of reference of the scientists of that country. If they are received, the article must be reviewed by one scientist appointed by the editorial board.
- It is aimed at presenting LIETUVOS MUZIKOLOGIJA (Lithuanian Musicology) in foreign scientific publications and publishing summaries of the articles (in the English language).
