For the eighteenth time young cinema professionals and university students from all over the Globe will gather at the Lithuanian seaside town of Nida. During an intensive two-week workshop Summer Media Studio (SMS) they will start a discussion about interactive dance in film. The workshop will begin on the 20th of June and will last until the 2nd of July.
This year SMS will invite 50 participants form different countries and professional tutors from Iceland, Scotland, France and Lithuania. During the workshop 5 international shooting crews will be formed. Each team will consist of choreographer, director, cinematographer, sound editor, editor, composer, actor-dance and producer.
The topic of this year is “Interactive dance in film”. SMS 2016 will provide a unique opportunity for filmmakers and dance practitioners to explore the crossover of cinematic techniques, dance, choreography and editing. During the workshop professional tutors will introduce to the meaning of interactive dance and will guide all attendees during the workshop. The workshop will include the use of AR or Augmented Reality.
