For the last eighty years Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy (LMTA) has been the main specialized university school for music. As the oldest music academy in Lithuania, LMTA is committed to provide the highest teaching standards.

The Academy curriculum has been crafted by the internationally acclaimed Lithuanian professors of music, theatre, dance and film industry; all study programmes have been assessed the board of international experts from the six EU countries and accredited on the national level.

Academy encourages talented youth to join us in the school year for the bachelor or master studies in Music Performance, majoring in Accordion, Choral Conducting, Harpsichord, Jazz (Instrumental and Vocal), Organ, Percussion, Piano, Symphony Orchestra Conducting, String Instruments, Vocal Performance, Wind Instruments and Composition. From academic year 2016-2017, the Academy starts the new specialization at masters lavel, Contemporary Performance, which includes Contemporary Ensemble and Contemporary Improvisation, and Art Management study programme, master studies.
