Born in 1974 in Vilnius, Aldona Vilutytė studied at Vilnius University and the LMTA under the supervision of famous Lithuanian actress Nijolė Gelžinytė.
More than 25 years of Aldona Vilutytė’s life have been dedicated to the theatre. She has played over 70 roles in the Keistuoliai Theatre, Theatre Laboratory Open Circle, the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre, Performance Art Theatre NO THEATER, and others. Aldona Vilutytė has acted in works directed by Jonas Vaitkus, Algirdas Latėnas, Aidas Giniotis, Oskaras Koršunovas, Agnius Jankevičius, Vidas Bareikis and other Lithuanian directors. The films featuring the actress include works by Emilis Vėlyvis, Ignas Miškinis, Marija Kavtarazde, Tadas Vidmantas, Titas Laucius, Justinas Krisiūnas and others. The performances featuring Aldona Vilutytė have received numerous awards in the Lithuanian festivals.
Besides that, for over 25 years, Aldona Vilutytė has been a radio personality. At the LRT, apart from providing voicing-over and dubbing, she has also acted in radio plays and directed and participated in literary evenings. She has also worked with other radio stations.
Aldona Vilutytė has tried her hand as a director as well when in 2019, on the stage of the National Kaunas Drama Theatre, she presented a play Bestuburiada. In 2008, Aldona Vilutytė was among nominees for the most prestigious theatre award in Lithuania – the Golden Cross of the Stage – in the category of the best drama actress. In 2012, the actress was granted the status of Artist Creator. At the International Poetry Festival Poezijos Pavasaris (Poetry Spring) of 2016, Aldona Vilutytė was announced the best reader.
Aldona Vilutytė eagerly shares her versatile experience with students. Since 2010, as Associate Professor at the LMTA, she has taught acting and stage language for the Academy students. She also led Voice Development classes at Vilnius University is a visiting lecturer at ISM University of Management and Economics (Vilnius).
Besides teaching, Aldona Vilutytė is an enthusiastic learner continuously participating in a range of programmes and workshops run by such famous teachers as Prof. Yuri Vasilyev (Russia), Árpád Schilling (Hungary), Kristin Linklater (Scotland), Barry Primus (USA), Steven Ditmyer (USA) and others. Aldona Vilutytė leads open seminars and workshops for higher education teachers, business companies and top executives. Her individual lessons, lectures and conferences presentations are all dedicated to mastering professional skills of breathing, voice and speech training, dealing with stress and stage fear, and mastering acting skills. At the LMTA, she has worked with students of the courses led by Gintaras Varnas, Nelė Savičenko, Oskaras Koršunovas, Aidas Giniotis, Eglė Gabrėnaitė, and Anželika Cholina.
