Library of Lithuanian Academy of Music and TheatreThe purpose of the library of The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre is to supply study and teaching materials to teachers, students and staff of the Academy; to participate in the educational process of musicians, theatre experts, and to help broaden their outlook as well as provide them with necessary materials and documents. The library of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre is operating under the protocol of the Lithuanian Government, Law of Libraries, Statute of Lithuanian Academy of Music, and according to the rector’s orders and regulations. The library takes part in various projects and works to support and induce the computerization of libraries, utilizing a foundation of integrated information systems in the creation of databases. The library belongs to The Network of Lithuanian Academic Libraries (NLAL). Services to library visitors Book lending department contains stored literature on musical history and theory, notes (scores) of musical compositions, informational literature, theses, and summaries. Informational literature can be read only on the spot.

The reading room contains printed material on culture, aesthetics, philosophy, religion, political science, history, art albums, informational literature, theses of students, and periodicals.
