Darius Rudis
Associate Professor at the LMTA Jazz Department. Subjects: Percussion, Rhythm, Ensemble. Languages: English (C1), Polish (B1), Russian (C2).
Darius Rudis, born in 1982, from the age of 5 he began studying at the Balys Dvarionas Music School (piano and accordion). Later he studied composition with composer Rytis Mažulis. He started playing percussion instruments at the age of 15. He entered the Tallat Kelpša Conservatory in the jazz department and graduated with a degree in percussion instruments. He graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Performing Arts with a master’s degree in performance and pedagogy. He has been studying at the Gröningen Conservatory in the Netherlands for a year with Ralph Peterson-USA and Steve Altenberg-USA. Currently, he has been teaching percussion instruments, rhythmics, ensemble at Vilnius College and the Lithuanian Academy of Music and B. Dvarionas Music School for 22 years. He actively participates in concert activities in clubs and festivals with famous Lithuanian and foreign musicians.

D. Rudis has significant stage experience. He debuted on the jazz stage in 1999. Recently, D. Rudis is one of the busiest drummers in the country and is considered one of the best drummers in Lithuania. Plays with most of the authoritative Lithuanian jazz musicians, not to mention almost everyone.
