PROF. JOANA MAKLAKIEWICZ MASTERCLASSES IN ACCOMPANIMENT AND LIED INTERPRETATION

Prof. Joana Maklakiewicz is a graduate of the The Chopin University of Music (piano class of Prof. Alicja Palety-Bugaj), and of the Gnesin Lyceum in Moscow (piano class of Prof. Vladimir Bochkarev). She completed her Master’s degree in Contemporary Music Interpretation in the class of Prof. Szabolc Esztenyi.

Solo, with orchestra, with stage partners – distinguished singers and instrumentalists, in various chamber ensembles, she has performed in many European countries, the USA, Japan, Saudi Arabia, South Africa.

Her discography is full of recordings of works by Polish composers, and she is an acclaimed performer of contemporary music. She teaches masterclasses in Switzerland, Norway, Estonia, Lithuania and Ukraine. From 2000 to 2008 she collaborated with the Yamaha School of Music, teaching piano courses in many cities in Japan.
