DINKO FABRIS LECTURE AND LECTURE-SEMINAR

March 16-17 LAMT public prominent researcher of Italian opera, historian of Neapolitan musical culture prof. Dinko Fabris, who will hold a public lecture at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania and a lecture-seminar for the LAMT community and alumni. All those studying and interested in the 17th-18th centuries are invited to participate. Italian opera, early music, the specifics of historically informed music performance!

During the event, Prof. Dinko Fabris will present a historical illustrated account of opera culture in Naples in the 17th-18th centuries, as well as consult students, teachers, alumni, early music performers and researchers.

Those who wish are welcome to consult the part of the seminar – to perform arias with basso continuo accompaniment from the 17th-18th centuries Italian repertoire.

Please inform the curator of the seminar, musicologist Jūratė Katinaitė, about your wish to participate in the seminar as a singer (singing/playing) by March 16.

The lecture-seminar will be held in English, but those who wish can ask questions, request consultation in Italian as well.
