A year after her unforgettable solo performance at “Improdimensija,” the incredible pianist Magda Mayas is back in Vilnius together with her improvised music students from Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts who will be teaming up with Liudas Mockūnas and Arnas Mikalkėnas improvised music students from Lithuanian Music Acdemy for one week work and a concert on the 15th of November.

Magda’s journey with piano started at nine, diving into classical music before discovering her passion for jazz and improvisation in her teens. Influenced by icons like Cecil Taylor and Misha Mengelberg, she creates a truly unique style that blends jazz, classical, and out-of-this-world improvisation. Her performances transform the piano into something entirely new—exploring every hidden sound and extending its range to the absolute max.

Joining her are Lithuania’s own Arnas Mikalkėnas and Liudas Mockūnas, both known for breaking musical boundaries and taking their sounds in bold, new directions. Together, this powerhouse trio is set to spark a musical supernova right here in Vilnius!
