INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM IMPACT 2024: IMPROVISATION AND CREATIVITY AND RESEARCH-BASED EDUCATION IN PERFORMING ARTS
From November 27 to 30, 2024, the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre will host the international symposium IMPACT for the second time, focusing on research-based education in performing arts. The event is co-organized with partners from Greece, The Makings of the Actor, and their project Act in the World, funded by the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports. This symposium is also part of the project The Establishment and Development of the Center of Excellence for Performing Arts Research, partially funded by the Research Council of Lithuania.
The IMPACT network explores creativity and improvisation, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue across music, theatre, dance, media, and artistic research. The 2024 theme focuses on integrating research into educational processes. The forum will bring together scholars, artists, artistic researchers, and educators to examine intersections between creative practice and education, discuss innovative methodologies, and share insights on how research can enrich performing arts education.
The event is open to all listeners.
