Gidon Kremer was awarded the degree of Doctor Honoris Causa on 11 April 2016.
In 2000, he was awarded the 3rd Class Order of the Lithuanian Grand Duke Gediminas. In 2017, received the honorary badge of Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania Nešk Savo Šviesą Ir Tikėk (eng. Carry Your Light and Believe).
