Darius Rudis

Darius Rudis boasts impressive stage experience. Having made his professional debut on the jazz scene in 1999, he is one of the most demanded drummers in Lithuania and often referred to as one of the best drummers of the country. In Lithuania, Darius Rudis performs with many influential Lithuanian jazz musicians and pop performers. He also gives performances abroad. So far, the drummer has been involved in the recording of as many as 22 CDs.

Darius Rudis is a graduate of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) where he earned a Master’s degree in Music and Education. The musician also studied at the Prince Claus Conservatoire in Gröningen (Netherlands) with Ralph Peterson (USA) and Steve Altenberg (USA). Since 2004, Darius Rudis has been teaching at the LMTA and the Vilniaus kolegija / University of Applied Sciences, and since 2019, he has been on the staff of Vilnius Balys Dvarionas Music School. 

In 2018, Darius Rudis published a book titled Improve Your Drumming Skills, a methodological guide for percussionists.
