Jonas Viršilas

Jonas Viršilas (1994) is an actor. He graduated from the Department of Theatre, Academy of Arts at Klaipeda University (now – the LMTA) with a BA in Theatre Art (the class of Professor Povilas Gaidys) in 2017. He now holds an MA in Drama Directing from the LMTA Klaipėda Faculty (Professor Gytis Padegimas’ class). Jonas Viršilas continues to improve his professional skills by taking part in various film and theatre workshops led by well-known theatre and film directors (e.g., theatre director Agata Duda-Gracz (Poland); Lithuanian film directors Marija Kavtaradzė, Eglė Vertelytė, and Inesa Kurklietytė).

Since 2018, Jonas Viršilas has worked as an actor at the Klaipėda Drama Theatre and has created roles in performances directed by leading Lithuanian directors Oskaras Koršunovas, Jonas Vaitkus, Povilas Gaidys, and Gytis Padegimas. The actor has also worked with famous Latvian directors Elmārs Seņkovs and Māra Ķimele.
