Jūratė Martinaitytė

Lecturer at the Department of Theatre at the LMTA Klaipėda Faculty. Subjects: Voice and Speech. Languages: English (C1).


Jūratė Martinaitytė is an actress and she teaches voice and speech techniques to students in Acting (the class of Professor Valentinas Masalskis) and Music Education at the Department of Theatre at the LMTA Klaipėda Faculty.

In 2019, Jūratė obtained a bachelor’s degree in Acting from the LMTA Klaipėda Faculty (Professor Valentinas Masalskis’ class), and in 2021 graduated with an MA in Drama Directing.

Since 2017, the actress has been working at the theatre Taško teatras (Klaipėda) where she has created over 20 professional roles in drama and dance performances. Since 2015, Jūratė Martinaitytė has been taking an active part in the international festival Jauno teatro dienos (The Young Theatre Days Festival) (Klaipėda Youth Theatre, Lithuania).

In 2020, Jūratė Martinaitytė participated in the seminars A Powerful Word (Lith. Paveikus žodis) led in Vilnius by Professor Yuri Vasiliev (Russia) and Alexandertechnik run in Klaipėda by Andreas Sandri (Austria). Now Jūratė’s research interests focus on Professor Yuri Vasiliev’s speech training technique based on the combination of the sensory mechanisms of voice, speech, and body movement functions.
