Marija Monika Dičiūnė

Associate Professor and Head at the LMTA Jazz Department. Specialization: Singing, Jazz Choir


Marija Monika Dičiūnė – jazz vocalist, pedagogue, choir conductor, artist.

Since 2013, she has been teaching jazz vocal performance at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA), where she also leads the LMTA Jazz Chorus. She has also taught solo and ensemble singing for acting and directing students in the courses led by Oskaras Koršunovas and Adas Giniotis.
She received her secondary education and pop vocal training at the Juozas Tallat-Kelpša Conservatory of Vilnius (2008). She later earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in jazz singing and pedagogy at LMTA. From 2012 to 2020, she taught vocal performance, ensemble singing, and led a gospel choir at the Juozas Tallat-Kelpša Conservatory of Vilnius.
Since 2006, she has been a soloist, choir conductor, lecturer, and program curator at the Vilnius Gospel Festival, collaborating with artists and conductors from the USA and Sweden.
She is a vocal coach on the TV show “The Voice. Kids” (Lithuania). Among her students are Sofija Vasilevskytė, Monika Pundziūtė–Monique, and many others. She also has extensive experience as a backing vocalist, performing in major arenas across Lithuania and abroad alongside some of the country’s most prominent and acclaimed artists.

In 2020, under the stage name Mary Mo, she launched her solo career with the debut single “Love Affair.” She performs jazz, R&B, pop and related genres at major festivals including Kaunas Jazz, Klaipėda Jazz, and more.
