NORD+MIX creative workshop in spatial sound sphere: Outcomes
On 19–28 April 2017 Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) hosted the NORD+MIX – a second year intensive hands-on workshop, which offered an opportunity to work on development of spatial sound compositions and experiment with innovative music technology. The Music Innovation Studies Centre of the LMTA was the main project venue where 26 students and 12 composition and music technology professors from 9 Nordic-Baltic partner schools collaborated.
Main benefits / outcomes of the project
Twenty-six students have learned about sound sphere, and have created, developed and performed ambisonic compositions during practical, hands-on workshops.

Future plans / Continuation of the project
Project will continue in 2018 as the third year intensive interdisciplinary course. New partner: University of Bergen, Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design. Further plans include development of the new but related projects (TBD soon).
