LMTA launches a new phase of international cooperation with €226,000 Erasmus+ funding for partnerships with Africa, Latin America, the Southern Mediterranean region, and Eastern Neigbouring countries.
The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) is entering a new phase of international cooperation. The application submitted by the Academy to the Erasmus+ KA171 programme has been successfully evaluated, resulting in €226,135 in funding. This support will enable the expansion of partnerships with higher education institutions across various regions of the world.
In this funding period, LMTA will strengthen and expand cooperation with partners in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Eastern Neighbouring countries, and the Southern Mediterranean region. Building on already established links with Ukraine, Senegal, and Israel, the Academy plans to further develop new partnerships in Armenia (Eastern Neighbouring region), Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, and Nigeria (Sub-Saharan Africa), as well as Argentina (Latin America).
The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre aims to enhance international relations increase student and staff mobility, and further develop artistic, creative, and academic exchange activities with global partners.
LMTA expects that this Erasmus+ phase will not only expand its geographical reach beyond Europe and strengthen the Academy’s international visibility, but also enable the integration of diverse cultural contexts into music and theatre studies and creative processes.
