5th INTERNATIONAL NECHAMA LIFSHITZ VOCAL COMPETITION – ROUND III (FINAL)
Soloists accompanied by the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra
The aim of the 5th International Nechama Lifshitz Vocal Competition is to promote Jewish vocal music, discover the most talented young Jewish vocal music authors and performers, and expand creative collaboration with colleagues from different regions and countries. It also seeks to foster the creativity and artistic abilities of the younger generation, providing talented artists from various countries with opportunities to present their work to a wider audience.
The competition is open to singers from all countries – soloists aged 21 to 35. In this round, participants will perform works by Jewish composers (or songs on Jewish themes), arias from the Baroque or Classical periods, as well as freely chosen classical music pieces.
Jury: Prof. Deividas Staponkus (Lithuania), Chair; Prof. Claudia Visca (Austria); Pavel Mazar (Israel); Eva Ben Zvi (Israel); Prof. Bogdan Makal (Poland); Prof. Irena Laurušienė (Lithuania).
Awards: 1st Prize – 1500€, 2nd Prize – 1000€, 3rd Prize – 700€; 4th–6th Prize winners will receive diplomas and gifts – original artworks by members of the Israeli artists’ group Matter of Color. Additional prizes: The Eugenijus Paulauskas Prize for the best accompanist; The St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra Prize – an invitation to perform with the orchestra during the 2026 season.
