Krzysztof Olczak (b.1956), whose three pieces will be performed is an accordionist, a composer and a professor at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, one of the most important figures in Polish accordion music since 1976. Mikołaj Majkusiak (b. 1983) represents a younger generation of Polish musicians. He is a prolific composer whose music is gaining an international acclaim and has been performed all over the world.
