GLEB PYŠNIAK CELLO MASTERCLASS

Born in 1987 in Vilnius, Lithuania, Gleb Pyšniak is one of the brightest in his generation of Baltic cellists. He made his concerto debut at age 14 in Lithuanian National Philharmonic Hall as a soloist with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra under prof. Saulius Sondeckis. Since then he has performed internationally in Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Holland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Poland, Portugal, Norway, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy and USA in prestigious venues such as the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, Vienna Musikverein, Casa da Musica of Porto, Fazioli Concert Hall in Italy, Hofburg palace in Vienna, Teatro Verdi in Pisa, at the Great Guild of Riga City, Edvard Grieg’s home – Troldhaugen Museum, Moscow Conservatory Rachmaninov Hall, Vilnius City Hall, Vilnius Congress Palace, Lithuanian National Philharmonic, National Opera and Ballet Theatre, Kaunas Philharmonic and others. He has also appeared as a soloist with the Moscow Conservatory Symphony Orchestra (conductor Andris Vecumnieks), Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra (conductor Georg Mark), Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra (conductor prof. Saulius Sondeckis), Symphony Orchestra of Porto (conductor Alexandr Shelley), Symphony Orchestra of Kaunas (conductor Modestas Pitrenas), Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Vidzeme Chamber Orchestra (conductor Andris Veismanis) and others.

Gleb Pyšniak has worked with several internationally recognized maestros including Yo-Yo Ma, Mstislav Rostropovich, David Geringas, Philippe Muller, Heinrich Schiff, Philippe Bary, Alexander Boyarsky, Lluis Claret, Dmitri Ferschtman, Michael Flaksman, Johannes Goritzki, Maria Kliegel, Reinhard Latzko, Monika Leskovar, László Mezö, Elena Očic, Miklós Perényi, Jérôme Pernoo, Jeroen Reuling, Gustav Rivinius, Silvija Sondeckienė, Eleanora Testelec, Hege Waldeland.
