INTO THE OPEN | FESTIVAL PROGRAMME

2024 September 27-29
Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre

INTO THE OPEN | FESTIVAL PROGRAMME

Into the Open (ITO) is the music festival of the new generation. It connects – across national borders and genres. It brings together people who love classical music and want to experience it in a new way. And it connects different art forms. Outstanding young musicians from all over the world present classical music together with artists from other genres such as dance, theater or visual arts. The result is a unique experience…!
Into the Open is an international festival network which, with the support of the European Commission, is being expanded into a genuine European festival with editions in Lithuania, France, Germany and Georgia. The interdisciplinary approach and the fusion of genres are intended to create new concert experiences and promote a “crossing” of the audience. At Into the Open, classical music lovers meet theater or techno fans!
At the end of September 2024, ITO will present the first edition of the festival in Vilnius with an exciting program. In a total of 5 events, big names and institutions such as the Fricsay Academy of the DSO Berlin, the Ensemble Modern Academy, the Ensemble Zeitgeist, the French DJ Halosaur in collaboration with the Helio String Quartet and students of the LMTA from Lithuania. Every day, the Lithuanian Academy of Music & Theater is transformed into a unique and spectacular backdrop.
