JUSTINA GRINGYTĖ MASTER CLASSES

Lithuanian mezzo-soprano Justina Gringytė has received special praise for her “excellent technique” (The Times) and “thunderously powerful voice” (The Telegraph). in 2015 the soloist was awarded the International Opera Award in the Young Soloist category. In Vilnius, she was awarded the Young Artist Prize of the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania. Justina Gringytė graduated from LMTA, then entered the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and completed the Jette Parker Young Artist Program at the Royal Covent Garden Opera House.

In the 2022-2023 season, the soloist performs the main roles in Massenet’s opera “Therese” and G. Bizet’s “Carmen” in the Scottish Opera House, as well as the role of Fenena from G. Verdi’s opera “Nabuccus” at the Hamburg National Opera. Justina Gringytė created many mezzo-soprano roles, including Maddalena from G. Verdi’s opera “Rigoletto”, Amner from G. Verdi’s opera “Aida”, Dalila from J. Massenet’s opera “Samson and Delilah”, Romeo from V. Bellini’s opera “Montecchi and Capulets” etc. The performers had to sing at the diamond coronation of Great Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, at the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games and elsewhere. The soloist’s voice sounded in the world’s most famous opera houses, including London’s Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Teatro Real in Madrid, Paris National Opera, Korean National Opera, Israel Opera, Vilnius City Opera, Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater and many others.

Course participants will be issued qualification improvement certificates of the accredited LMTA Career and Competence Center.

A participation fee of 5.00 EUR applies to non-LAMT community members who wish to receive a certificate.
