Łukasz Czartowski – lecturer, specialist in Gregorian chant, conductor, vocalist, and event organizer. He graduated from the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome (specialization in Gregorian chant), the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław (historical singing), and the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań (church music, conducting). As a vocalist, he has collaborated, among others, with the Poznań Chamber Choir, the Arad Philharmonic Choir (Romania), and the St. George’s Cathedral Choir in Timișoara (Romania). From 2018 to 2020, he was a member of the choir of the National Forum of Music (NFM) in Wrocław. In 2018, he was granted auditor status at the Pontifical Sistine Chapel Choir in Rome. He is a member of the Polish section of the International Association for Gregorian Chant Studies (AISCGre). He has participated in Gregorian chant interpretation courses led by Mariusz Białkowski, Alberto Turco, Susi Ferfoglia, Franz Karl Prassl, Marco Frisina, and Fulvio Rampi. Since 2018, he has served as a cantor in the Pastoral Care of the Faithful of the Latin Tradition. From 2019 to 2021, he was a cantor at the liturgical “Ars Celebrandi” seminars in Licheń. Co-founder of the Lumen de Lumine Foundation and artistic director of its projects. He bases his interpretation of Gregorian chant on early adiastematic neume notations from the 10th–11th centuries, as well as on late medieval diastematic manuscripts.
