Her musical journey began in Vilnius, where she graduated from the then Lithuanian State Conservatory (now LMTA) and later continued her studies at the Moscow P. Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Already at the age of nine, she performed with an orchestra, and her victories in prestigious international competitions – including the International P. Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow, the F. Her interpretations of the works of F. Liszt, C. Franck, M. K. Čiurlionis, and contemporary composers are especially praised.

Professor Rubackytė is also an active and inspiring educator. At LMTA, she teaches young pianists, sharing not only her professional excellence but also a profound musical culture and international perspective. She serves as a jury member for international competitions, organizes music festivals, and is President of the International Franz Liszt Society.

Mūza Rubackytė’s artistic contributions have been recognized with high honors from the governments of Lithuania and Hungary. These include the Lithuanian Government and National Culture & Arts Awards, the Grand Cross of the Order for Merits to Lithuania, Hungary’s Pro Hungarica award from the Ministry of Culture, and the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary.
