INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS “M. K. ČIURLIONIS 150: UNVEILINGS AND INTERPRETATIONS”
This autumn, Vilnius will become a global hub for M. K. Čiurlionis art studies. The international congress “M. K. Čiurlionis 150: Unveilings and Interpretations” will bring together 53 presenters from 14 countries – musicologists, art historians, philosophers, and artists – who will share the latest discoveries and interpretations of the genius creator’s legacy.
The three-day program includes academic discussions, presentations, and keynote lectures exploring Čiurlionis’s creative connections with modernist aesthetics, philosophy, ideas of art synthesis, and the global context.

Cultural Program
- October 16 – Concert “Čiurlionis: Music for Piano” at the LMTA Great Hall, featuring piano compositions by M. K. Čiurlionis.
Performers: Mūza Rubackytė, Eglė Andrejevaitė, Jurgis Karnavičius. - October 17 – Exhibition “Letters to Čiurlionis” by Baltic watercolor artists at the LMTA 2nd Floor Foyer, and a meeting with Radosław Okulicz-Kozaryn “M. K. Čiurlionis’ Letters and Friends” in the LMTA Juozas Karosas Hall.
- October 18 – Closing concert “Dedications to Čiurlionis” at the LMTA Great Hall, featuring performances by Petras Geniušas, Liudas Mockūnas, and the Vilnius Quartet.
The congress offers a unique opportunity to rediscover Čiurlionis – from his modernist visions to his lasting artistic influence today.
The event is open to all interested in music, art, and cultural history.
