The Art Centre
The Art Centre of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre was founded on October 1, 2012. Its main objective is to organise and coordinate music, cinema, dance and interdisciplinary arts events and other cultural activities. The centre is responsible for the supervision of the repertoire of performing arts within the study process. It also provides management assistance to academy community members in the implementation of creative ideas and produces relevant new arts events.
Over 500 events of various fields and genres held every year significantly enrich the Lithuanian cultural map. The majority of these events are free and open to the general public, ensuring a specific cultural contribution by the academy to the national education system. Cooperation with different Lithuanian and international partners, such as professional institutions of arts and creative industries, encourages the academy’s students to become established in the arts market. The centre plays an active role in these processes.
By representing the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, one of the most multi-layered educational arts institutions, the team at the art centre follows the highest standards of management, remaining responsive to art and faithful to creativity.
