Balcony Theatre

The Balcony Theatre (Gedimino Ave. 42, Vilnius), formerly known as the Training Theatre, opened its doors after reconstruction in November 2015. The hall offers modern sound and lighting equipment and has a capacity of 120-150 seats. This is where student actors, directors, choreographers, dancers and playwrights can meet a wider audience. Students present their contemporary dance, drama and interdisciplinary art projects, while student playwrights read fragments of their plays. You can also see contemporary drama and dance events and theatre festivals. Apart from all this, the Balcony Theatre hosts a variety of masterclasses as well as contemporary music, experimental music and jazz evenings. One of the most popular projects is the Balcony Theatre Contest Balkono okupacija (‘Occupying the Balcony’) and the LMTA Teatro dienos (‘LMTA Theatre Days’) festival.
