Admission / ECMAster

📍 Examination venue / format – LMTA Building II (Congress Hall), Room 224, Vilnius.

If there is a justified reason, applicants may be given the opportunity to submit video recordings of their musical performance and to participate in the motivation interview online on the examination day.


ELIGIBILITY AND ADMISSION

The programme is open to established ensembles with standard instrument combinations, including:
string quartets, piano trios, string trios, piano quartets, wind quintets, brass quintets, saxophone quartets, and other ensembles.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance or hold an equivalent qualification;
  • Be a member of an established ensemble (all ensemble members must apply to the same institution);
  • Demonstrate advanced instrumental and musical skills;

  • Have relevant experience in chamber music;

  • Be able to reflect on and make independent artistic decisions.


APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Applications must be submitted to the institution chosen as the home institution.

Step 1. Online application

Applicants must complete the online application via the designated admission system.

Step 2. Submission of additional documents

The following documents, with the subject line “ECMAster Application”, must be sent by email to

  • Curriculum Vitae, containing the applicant’s relevant artistic activities;

  • Description of the Ensemble’s activities;

  • Master’s project proposal.


AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

The entrance examination consists of:

  • A prepared ensemble programme of 45–60 minutes, including at least three contrasting works or movements in different styles relevant to the ensemble type;

  • motivation interview.

Structure of the competitive score

(maximum score – 10):

  • 0.2 – grade point average from the Bachelor’s diploma supplement;

  • 0.2 – motivation interview;

  • 0.6 – entrance examination (performance).
