Master Application
1 STEP: PRELIMINARY APPLICATION (PRE-SELECTION)
Foreign candidates are recommended to complete a preliminary application, which serves as a pre-selection stage. This step helps assess your readiness and provides a recommendation to participate in the entrance examinations.
To apply for the preliminary evaluation, please submit:
- a completed application form
- a link to your performance(s) or creative work(s) (video or audio)
Deadlines:
- For applicants to the Music Performance and Composition study programmes – by 1 April 2026
Pre-selection results:
- Music Performance and Composition study programmes candidates will receive results by 1 May 2026
Note: While optional, this step is recommended to help you prepare for the next stage.
2 STEP: CENTRALISED ADMISSION
If you pass the preliminary application, you will be invited to the entrance examinations.
The admission process starts on 1 June 2026.
Please note that centralised admission is open only to citizens of the European Union and their family members. EU citizens and their family members follow the same admission procedure as Lithuanian citizens and may apply for state-funded study places.
All other applicants, including non-EU citizens, must apply directly by contacting the LMTA Admissions by email: priemimas@lmta.lt. Non-EU applicants may apply for self-funded study places.
EU citizens and their family members must complete and submit the online application form at least 24 hours before the entrance examination.
You will need to submit:
- The online application form (centralised admission)
- The entrance examination programme form (only if you take the examination remotely)
The application includes the following:
- copy of passport / ID card
- documents (originals) witnessing a university Bachelor’s degree (diploma and its supplement), or copies certified by a Notary Public
- recognition of a Bachelor’s qualification: certificate issued by LMTA or the Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (more information at www.skvc.lt)
- English language certificate (minimum B1 level, e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge English, LanguageCert or Duolingo English Test)
- payment receipt of the administration fee
3 STEP: ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS
Entrance examinations are organised at the Academy from the middle of June.
EU citizens will be admitted in the same order as the Republic of Lithuania citizens, and candidates may apply for a state-funded study place.

Applicants who successfully pass the entrance examinations will participate in the competition for study places, where candidates are ranked based on their examination results.
Invitations to study and sign the study contract will be announced at the beginning of July 2026.
Scholarships for Full-Time Master Degree Studies
Funding under the 2026 Call will be provided to the citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, China (People’s Republic of China and Taiwan), Georgia, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, New Zealand, Philippines, South Korea, Ukraine, The United States of America, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin of non-EU and non-EFTA countries, 70 grants in total (monthly scholarships and grants covering the study cost).
