DANCE

Volume and duration: 240 ECTS, 4 academic years (30 ECTS per semester)

About study programme
The aim of study programme to train a professional and socially active contemporary or classical dance art specialist who is familiar with the context of dance art, and its development patterns, is able to work professionally and creatively in the country’s artistic and cultural processes, realise one’s artistic ideas, work independently and collaborate; knows how to learn and develop as a professional, to use the available physical, emotional and cognitive qualities for artistic expression and development of the dance art field.

Possibilities for further studies
Having obtained the degree of Bachelor of Arts, graduates may continue their studies in the second cycle (Master’s studies).

Professional opportunities
Graduates are able to work as dance performers in any professional dance troupe, or dance theatre. They can also express themselves independently in creative, artistic professional activities by initiating and carrying out artistic dance or choreography projects.

DANCE AND EDUCATION

About study programme
The aim of the study programme is to train a dance art specialist who possesses the necessary competences for professional activity – including intercultural, professional and subject-specific competences. The graduate will have acquired a systematic knowledge of the history and theory of dance art, mastered methodologies of various dance styles (ballroom, folk, performative), and be able to apply them in practice.

Possibilities for further studies
Those who have completed the first cycle study programme Dance and Education have the right to enter the programmes of the second cycle in the field of dance as well as other study fields if this is indicated in the admission requirements of the chosen study programme.

Professional opportunities
Graduates are able to work as performers or artistic directors of dance groups in various cultural institutions, amateur and professional dance groups, initiate private, project activities of dance education, and the creation of new groups.

FILM ART

Volume and duration: 240 ECTS, 4 academic years (30 ECTS per semester)

About study programme
The aim of the study programme is to train a film art professional with a solid grounding in film history and theory, an understanding of contemporary contexts in cinema and screen arts, and the ability to analyse cinematic phenomena. The graduate will be responsible for the creation, implementation and artistic quality of a film, television or other screen-based project (or part thereof), applying the knowledge and skills acquired in their chosen specialisation. They will be able to work both independently and collaboratively, and take responsibility for the outcomes of their professional practice.

Possibilities for further studies
Having obtained the degree of Bachelor of Arts, graduates may continue their studies in the second cycle (Master’s studies).

Professional opportunities
Graduates are able to work in the film and creative industries, television, advertising, and media sectors, as well as in institutions responsible for shaping and implementing film and cultural policy. They can also initiate and carry out national and international art projects, and express themselves independently in creative and artistic professional activities.

MUSIC PERFORMANCE

Volume and duration: 240 ECTS, 4 academic years (30 ECTS per semester)

About study programme
The aim of the study programme is to train a professional musician of the chosen specialisation, able to prepare and publicly perform works of various styles and genres as solo pieces or ensembles and/or orchestras of various compositions, who knows the musical repertoire of the chosen specialisation from historical and theoretical points of view and is able to communicate and cooperate as well as to develop concert activity.

Possibilities for further studies
Bachelors of the Music Performance study programme can continue their education in the master’s degree studies in the field of music (which belongs to the field of art studies) and in this way improve the competencies of music performers acquired in the bachelor’s studies and combine art practice studies with art research.

Professional opportunities
Graduates are able to work as music performers (soloists and/or ensemble, orchestra artists, concertmasters, illustrators, tutors) in art groups, and cultural and educational institutions, as well as to independently develop creative activities. In terms of demand in the labor market and the interests of employers, professional music artists are also needed in various fields of cultural and creative industries as well as in musical instruction and education institutions.

The aim of study programme to train a music professional possessing knowledge of and skills in music history, music theory, and music technologies, as well as creative and organisational knowledge and skills, who is able to initiate, create, implement, analyse, and assess music/art projects in a variety of professional contexts.

Possibilities for further studies
Graduates can continue their studies in the second cycle (Master’s degree) in music and other fields of study if it is provided for in the requirements for admission to the chosen study programme.

Professional opportunities
Graduates are able to work in a range of cultural and educational institutions in Lithuania; initiate and carry out national and international cultural and art projects; express themselves independently in creative, artistic, scientific research, and professional activities.

About study programme
The aim of the study programme is to train a socially active theatre art specialist who knows theatre art from historical and theoretical points of view, is able to work professionally and creatively in the country’s artistic and cultural processes, can realise own artistic ideas in the international cultural space, work independently and collaborate, is willing to learn, improve and to use previously obtained physical, emotional and cognitive qualities for artistic expression. .

Possibilities for further studies
Having obtained the degree of Bachelor of Arts, graduates may continue their studies in the second cycle (Master’s studies).

Professional opportunities
Graduates are able to work in various Lithuanian theatres and their troupes, institutions of culture, education and entertainment industries, initiate and implement national and international cultural projects, as well as independently express themselves with their creative and artistic professional activities.

Admission to the Performing Arts Studies and Theatrical Production Management specialisations takes place every two years. The next intake will be in 2025 (for Theatrical Production Management) and in 2026 (for Performing Arts Studies).

Admission to the Puppet and Object Theatre specialisation takes place every four years, with the next intake in 2028.


* Non-EU citizens and all students who do not receive state-funded support for studies must pay a yearly tuition fee fixed by the Academy’s Senate. Depending on the year of entry, prices may change.
