Equal Opportunities, Diversity, and Inclusion
The values of the LMTA encompass openness and sustainability, creativity, identity, academic freedom, responsibility and tolerance, equal opportunities for all, and a thriving and close-knit community.
The LMTA strives to apply the principles of equal opportunities, inclusion, and diversity in each field of activity by
- recognising the individuality of each person and acknowledging that the contribution and involvement of each of us – be it a staff member or a student – in the activity of the LMTA community is equally substantial; and by organising its activity so that all social groups are represented in the LMTA community, and that each member of the community feels respected and can fully employ their abilities;
- fostering a community culture where differences are not simply acknowledged but valued, and where everyone can work, study, develop, and express themselves on an equal footing. The community members with fewer opportunities will be assisted to overcome obstacles and become involved in the activity;
- following the principle of equal opportunities to stop suppressing the rights or granting privileges to the staff members and students or discriminating the community members on the basis of sex, race, nationality, language, origin, social status, religion, beliefs or opinions, age, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, health problems, differences in educational background, cultural differences, economic differences, and geographical differences.
If you experience discrimination, harassment, bullying, or victimisation, please contact LMTA Rector, or LMTA Academic Ethics Committee (etika@lmta.lt). All complaints will be processed by the LMTA Academic Ethics Committee.
