The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) joined the Lifelong Learning/Erasmus programme in academic year 1999/2000. Under the Erasmus+ exchange scheme, the Academy has currently signed inter-institutional agreements with 120 partner institutions across the Europe. These agreements allows European students to study at LMTA as Erasmus exchange students without paying an extra fee.
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport which runs for seven years, from 2014 to 2020. It includes numerous exchanges of students and teachers among higher education institutions throughout Europe. Erasmus+ aims to modernise education, training and youth work across Europe.
