Three year project (2016-2018) was supported by Nordplus higher education programme. NORD+MIX is an intensive and interdisciplinary workshop for Nordic/Baltic students of composition, sound design, music technology, sound art, contemporary performance and improvisation. Format of the workshop: lectures, creative tutorials, creative laboratory, interdisciplinary collaboration, group improvisation, production and public performance of newly created spatial music.

Fridriksson (Iceland).
NORD+MIX schedule
24 students created together with 10 contemporary music students, performing 21 composition adjusted for the sound sphere (3D sound) at the „Kablys“ music club in Vilnius.

NORD+MIX (2017)
LMTA Music Innovation Studies Centre
Topic of the workshop – spatial sound compositions and experiments with innovative music technology. Participants: 24 students and 10 composition and music technology professors from 9 Nordic-Baltic partner schools. Students worked in 3 groups: group A developed creative projects with musicians of contemporary ensemble
Synaesthesis Marta Finkelštein (piano), Artūras Kažimėkas (bassoon), Vytautas Oškinis (flute), and Monika Kiknadzė (viola); group B created improvised music project in collaboration with students of contemporary music and improvisation – singer Tua Hakanpää (EAMT), Dominykas Norkūnas (guitar), and Kristupas Gikas (flute); group C has worked on electroacoustic pieces.
