MASTER’S STUDIES
This is the official Course Catalogue for Master-level studies at LMTA, where you will find programmes and specialisations in Dance , History and Theory of Art, Composition, Music, Theatre and Film taught in Lithuanian and English (as indicated). Programmes are delivered in two LMTA locations — Vilnius and Klaipėda, depending on the chosen study programme and specialisation.

The Composition study programme at LMTA offers Erasmus students advanced studies in either academic composition or electronic music. The programme focuses on developing strong creative, technical, and research skills. Students gain expertise in instrumentation, digital technologies, and artistic project implementation, while also learning to work independently on professional-level instrumental and/or electronic music projects. The programme is delivered at Vilnius.
The Dance Art study programme at LMTA offers Erasmus students the opportunity to explore and implement artistic research with a focus on contemporary issues in dance and performance art. The programme encourages interdisciplinary approaches and the development of creative research methods within the field of dance studies. The programme is delivered at Vilnius.
The Art Research and Communication programme at LMTA offers Erasmus students a broad selection of interdisciplinary courses in fields such as ethnomusicology, musicology, theatre studies, and film studies. The programme focuses on combining theory with practice and allows students to engage in artistic research, communication, and cultural analysis depending on their interests. The programme is delivered at Vilnius.
The Music Performance study programme at LMTA offers Erasmus students courses aimed at deepening their artistic and performance skills. The programme focuses on musical individuality, expression, interpretation, and research. Students can select subjects to further develop their artistic competencies, stage practice, and creative thinking, while enhancing leadership and communication skills.

In Klaipėda:
The Film Art study programme at LMTA offers Erasmus students courses across directing, cinematography, sound design, and production. The programme combines creative project work with artistic research, allowing students to develop their professional and creative skills while collaborating with Lithuanian and international film industry experts. The programme is delivered at Vilnius.
The Theatre Art study programme at LMTA offers Erasmus students courses focusing on theatrical creation, collective work, and artistic research. Students can explore both the practical and theoretical aspects of theatre-making, develop their creative projects, and analyse the artistic process while working individually or as part of a team.
