BACHELOR’S STUDIES

PRELIMINARY APPLICATION

Foreign candidates are recommended to apply for a preliminary evaluation, which gives the right to participate in the entrance examinations. Application for a preliminary evaluation includes:

ENTRY APPLICATION

All applicants who have demonstrated their eligibility during the preliminary application round will be invited to the entrance examinations. The deadline for registration to the entrance examinations is June 15, and the entry application includes:

  • documents (originals) witnessing secondary education, or copies certified by a Notary Public
  • recognition of education gained in a foreign country: certificate issued by the Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education concerning equivalents of subjects and transfer of grades (more information at www.skvc.lt)
  • copy of passport (or ID)
  • certificate in level of English or Russian language proficiency (at least B1)
  • 1 photo

ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS

Entrance examinations are organised at the Academy between June 17 and July 8. Applicants will receive the schedule for examinations by email. EU citizens will be admitted in the same order as citizens of the Republic of Lithuania, and candidates may apply for a state-funded study place.


MASTER’S STUDIES

PRELIMINARY APPLICATION

ENTRY APPLICATION

All candidates must pass the entrance examinations. The deadline for registration for the entrance examinations is June 15, and the application includes: 

  • copy of passport / ID card
  • documents (originals) witnessing a university Bachelor’s degree (diploma and its supplement), or copies certified by a Notary Public
  • recognition of a Bachelor’s qualification: certificate issued by the Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (more information at www.skvc.lt)
  • certificate in level of English or Russian language proficiency (at least B1)
  • payment receipt of administration fee
  • 1 photo

DOCTORAL STUDIES

Entrance examinations: last week of June – first week of July. Applicants will receive information about the schedule of the examinations by email.

Candidates must submit to the Admission Committee:

  • application form
  • documents (originals) witnessing Master’s degree (diploma and its supplement), or copies certified by a Notary Public
  • document issued by the Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education certifying the recognition of foreign qualifications (www.skvc.lt)
  • copy of an order by the Minister of Education and Science concerning the recognition of the qualification gained in a foreign country
  • copy of passport (or ID)
  • letters of recommendation by two scholars in the selected field (arts and humanities)
  • Curriculum Vitae and a description of the research activities
  • Master’s research paper and a list of publications with copies
  • artistic research project proposal
  • certificate in level of English language proficiency (at least B2)
  • DVD recording (for applicants from non-EU countries) 

EU citizens will be admitted in the same order as citizens of the Republic of Lithuania. 

If not all of the presented documents have been issued in the same surname / first name, a copy of a document attesting to the change in surname / first name certified by a Notary Public must be provided. Foreigners of Lithuanian descent must additionally provide a document witnessing their Lithuanian descent from the Lithuanian community in the respective country. If entering programmes in the Lithuanian language, or if in the certificate concerning the equivalents of subjects and transfer of grades it is prescribed that a Lithuanian language credit test must be taken, a certificate in a passed Lithuanian language credit test should be provided. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Deadlines for application:

  • April 15 for non-EU citizens
  • June 15 for EU citizens
