Bachelor studies

PRELIMINARY APPLICATION

Foreign candidates are recommended to apply for a preliminary evaluation, which gives a right to participate in the entrance examinations. Application for a preliminary evaluation includes:

Deadline of the preliminary application is 1st of April. Results will be sent to candidates by 1st of May

ENTRY APPLICATION

All applicants who have demonstrated their eligibility during the preliminary application round, will be invited to the entrance examinations. Deadline for registration to the entrance examinations is 15th of June, entry application includes:

  • documents (originals) witnessing secondary education or their copies certified by a Notary Public;
  • recognition of education gained in a foreign country: Certificate issued by the Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education concerning equivalents of subjects and transfer of grades (more information at www.skvc.lt);
  • copy of passport (or ID);
  • Certificate about level of English or Russian language proficiency (at least B1);
  • 1 photo.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS

Entrance examinations are organised at the Academy between June 17 and July 8. Applicant will receive the schedule of examinations by e-mail.                                                                                              EU citizens shall be admitted in the same order as citizens of the Republic of Lithuania, and candidates may apply for a State funded study place.

Master studies

PRELIMINARY APPLICATION

ENTRY APPLICATION

All candidates must pass entrance examinations. Deadline for registration to the entrance is 15th of June, application includes: 

  • Copy of passport / ID card;
  • Documents (originals) witnessing of university Bachelor degree (diploma and it’s supplement) or their copies certified by a Notary Public;
  • Recognition of Bachelor’s qualification: certificate issued by the Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education ( more information at www.skvc.lt);
  • Certificate about level of English or Russian language proficiency (at least B1);
  • Payment receipt of administration fee;
  • 1 photo.

Doctoral studies

Entrance examinations: last week of June – first week of July. Applicants will receive an information about the schedule of examinations by e-mail. 

Candidates shall submit to the Admission Committee:

  • application form;
  • documents (originals) witnessing Master Degree (diploma and it’s supplement) or their copies certified by a Notary Public;
  • document issued by the Lithuanian Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education certifying a recognition of foreign qualifications (www.skvc.lt);
  • copy of an order of the Minister of Education and Science concerning recognition of the qualification gained in a foreign country;
  • copy of passport (or ID);
  • Letters of Recommendations of two scholars of the selected field (arts and humanities);
  • Curriculum Vitae and a description of research activities;
  • master’s research paper and the list of publications and their copies;
  • artistic research project proposal;
  • Certificate about level of English language proficiency (at least B2);
  • DVD recording (for applicants of non-EU countries).

EU citizens shall be admitted in the same order as citizens of the Republic of Lithuania. 

In case not all the presented documents have been issued in the same surname (first name) – a copy of a document attesting the change of the surname (first name) certified by a Notary Public. Foreigners of Lithuanian descent, additionally – a document witnessing their Lithuanian descent from the Lithuanian community in the respective country. Certificate about a passed Lithuanian language credit test, if in the certificate concerning equivalents of subjects and transfer of grades it is prescribed that a person has to take a Lithuanian language credit test – when entering programmes in the Lithuanian language. Incomplete applications shall not be considered.

Deadlines for application:

  • 15th of April for non-EU citizens;
  • 15th of June for EU citizens.
